In Nigeria, we have quite talented and creative bakers who bring our ideas to life and we will be bringing to your view the creative works of few among them just so you can be inspired.
There are different kinds of tribes and their traditional cake differs but mainly the most common ones we see around are the Yoruba and Edo/Igbo traditional cakes.
In this post, we have cakes reflecting the different tribes with some of them depicting what the Yorubas call ‘Eru-Iyawo’ which is the list of gift items given to the bride by the groom’s family and some of them having the traditional wedding requirements like the garden egg, kola nut, and palm wine.
